TEMPLE BETH ISRAEL ENDOWMENT FUND
Preserving Our Heritage for the Future The Temple Beth Israel Endowment Fund was established in 1984 under the direction of Jay Rudolph to receive major gifts and bequests. It was created to sustain and develop the religious, philanthropic, cultural and educational activities of the Temple. At the discretion of its Trustees, the income may also be used for alteration, renovation or expansion of the Temple’s physical facilities.
Through the generosity of our members, the Endowment Fund is able to provide for major events, provide funding for our famous choir and library and contribute a sum each year to the Temple’s operating fund. At the same time the fund provides an emergency source to guarantee the Temple’s future in the event of a catastrophe.
A number of congregants have contributed to the Endowment Fund with charitable Gift Annuities. The annuity guarantees an attractive income with a substantial portion of the gift exempt from taxes. Many congregants have also written letters of intent which promise a gift to the Temple upon the demise of the member.
Anyone who wishes information concerning procedures for making contributions or bequests to the Endowment Fund should contact the Temple Office, at (941) 383-3428.
